Bronxville's "Apple Store of Camera Shops" Celebrates 50 Years With Membership Launch
Arista Camera & Imaging gives back to customers
Bronxville, NY (January 10, 2011) Arista Camera & Imaging (Arista) is celebrating its 50th year in business, having opened in the Bronx in 1960 before relocating to Bronxville in 1985. Dubbed by Westchesterites as "The Apple store of camera shops" due to its wide variety of offerings in merchandise and services, as well as its knowledgeable staff of professional photographers, Arista is commemorating its golden year with the launch of an exclusive annual membership program.
The Arista membership program is our way of giving back to our loyal customers while reaching out to others in the community that we may not have had the pleasure of working with yet, said Richard Restiano, Sr., one of two Arista owners and the former Vice President and CMO of Olan Mills, a national photography chain of 600 studios throughout the United States. "We're giving our customers the opportunity to take advantage of our products and services at a very special price while learning and meeting others with similar interests."
Aside from the standard camera shop activities of printing family photos and selling cameras, Arista performs a number of helpful tasks, including transferring photos or VHS to DVD's, custom and large scale printing, and instruction on camera use. Arista's staff of experienced photographers can be booked for personal portrait sessions for families, children, and even pets, or for corporate clients who require company headshots, event coverage, or product shots.
"Family holiday cards, birth announcements, you name it and we'll shoot it, print it, frame it, whatever is needed. We're a one-stop everything shop", smiled Restaino.
Arista also offers a variety of fun and educational classes, which are discounted under its membership program. Taught by Restiano, a member of his highly experienced staff, or an exciting guest instructor, the one hour long classes range from photography tips and Photoshop skills to organizing and sharing a digital catalog of images to decorating with photos and frames of different colors, shapes, and sizes. Many of our customers are local moms who want it all: photo sessions with their kids, printing of the photos, framing, and finally, help creating online albums to share with friends and family", said Restiano. "We've even had brides pay for a friend to attend our photography classes in lieu of hiring an expensive wedding photographer."
To honor their 50th year, an Arista annual membership costs only $50.00 and includes a custom membership card; one free group class (valued at $29.95); the option to bring a friend to one group class at half price; 50% off a one-on-one class (valued at $60.00); 10% off all photo enlargements; advance notice of in-store specials; $0.20 4x6 prints (regularly $0.29); a free ten minute session of "anytime advice" (bring in your prints and/or camera for professional advice or instruction); and two free events per year: a photo field trip and a local Photographer's exhibit party.
